Support for Agnes

When we first met Agnes she was crawling on the floor and being hidden from visitors by her family who were ashamed of her disability. We‘re raising funds to support her education and to get her a fitted leg as her current one has grown too small.

Kamau House

We aim to provide a shelter for those with extreme disabilities. Here they will have proper wet rooms as many are wheelchair bound and have no way of bathing. The complex will also have a drop in centre where the residents and others can come to offer support. We will also run self-development courses

ABOUT THE KENYAN DISABILITY PROJECT

In most parts of Africa, disabilities are considered to be a curse. To be disabled and poor is a double tragedy. What’s worse is that unlike most European countries, many African governments offer no aid to disabled people. As a result many die early from unmet medical and food needs.
